CHANCE – Program for the Integration of Immigrants into the Labour Market

The Foundation Artemisszió have decided to re- design the program for integration of migrants after having learnt from the previous year’s program experience and results.

The CHANCE program in 2012 has the focus on labour market integration beyond the community and social network building. We offer a complex service system, which elements are offered according to individual needs and situations after the selection process and multi-steps needs assessment.

Each immigrants participating in the program aimed to:

• Attend the competency assessment interview where we map which services in which schedule are needed and we register that in the development plan;
• Receive advisory service from a social worker.

The program offers according to individual needs:

• Competency assessment interview („Digital Empowerment Tool”)
• Labour market advice;
• Individual mentoring;
• Hungarian language course, tutoring: taught in language schools and by volunteering teachers in groups as well;
• Vocational placement opportunity;
• Primary- or secondary school certificate obtaining opportunity;
• Participation in intercultural trainings;
• Legal- and psychological counselling.

The program has major emphasis on social work case management, individual counselling on the labour market: these services are implemented in cooperation with Menedék, Hungarian Association for Migrants.
